Bright horizontal artifacts can occur if the wrong driver USB 3 driver is in use.   



The Renesas device needs to be switched to the non "Microsoft" labeled one.  Use the Device Mannager Update driver utility to accomplish this.  It will be in the list of  known drivers.


Once that is installed one of the USB 3 Root hubs will change to “Renesas Root HUB” and Renesas will be visible twice in the USB section.
