This can occur if Windows incorrectly installs the wrong driver for the USB Engine interface.

1.  Type "Device Manager" without quotes in the windows search box and press enter.

2.  If you see a Device called "DTU device with FX3" then this confirms it is using the wrong driver.  If you don't see this something else is the issue and you should contact technical support.

3. Right click on the DTU device and select "Update Driver".

4. Select Browse my computer for drivers

5. Select "Let me pick from a list.."

6. Highlight "Cypress FX3 USB Bootloader Device". Click Next.

7. The driver will install and the image should become active.

***In some cases Windows will reinstall the DTU device and the procedure will have to be performed twice but we haven't had it occur more than that.
