Summary:
The following steps will walk you through setting the display language in Windows to a setting other than “English (United States)”. The example used here will be the language “Español (Chile)” but these steps work for a variety of languages.

Step 1 – Open your Start menu, click in the search box, and type “language settings”

Step 2 – Click on “Language settings” in the list of matches above the search box

Step 3 – Click on the fold-down box under “Windows display language” and select the language you want to use. If your language IS NOT available, proceed to Step 4 If your language IS available, proceed to Step 7

Step 4 – Click the area that says “Add a language” under “Preferred languages”

Step 5 – Type your language into the search box, then select it from the list. Then, click Next.

Step 6 – Verify that the boxes next to “Install language pack” and “Handwriting” are checked. Then, click Install.

Step 7 – Select the new language from the list Step 7a – If you see the prompt below, click “No, sign out later”

Step 8 – Verify that all of the categories show your new language. It is OK if “Speech” does not have the same language. The Speech function is not utilized. If your new language is not shown in each of the categories, click the category and change the language manually. For example, if you click “Regional format” you may need to change to your desired language.

Step 9 – Close all windows and restart the system. Use the “Start” menu and select “Shut down” if necessary. Once the system reboots into windows, you should see the Ultrasound program displaying using the newly configured language.
